This listing is for an original double elephant folio Audubon Amsterdam edition lithograph.  This is an authentic vintage Audubon lithograph print, Amsterdam edition, double elephant folio, very large, drawn to life size! It is hand colored, I believe.

This one is called "Long Tailed Duck." It has the watermark of "G. Schut & Zonen" embedded in the paper, which means it is indeed an Amsterdam edition lithograph.  

It is in great condition.  It had probably been in the frame since it were originally purchased, so it is very flat with no visible marks or scuffs that I can see.  Frame not included. It was mounted into the frame with masking tape, so the edges on the back of the paper have some tape and residue, not visible from the front.  The Long-Tailed duck is very vivid and dark, and doesn't seem to have much fading, if any.

The image itself measures approximately 21" x 28"

There is an original watermark, "G. Schut & Zonen."  

Text reads:

"Drawn from Nature by J. J. Audubon, F.R.S.  F.L.S.  Long-Tailed Duck Fuligula Glacialis 1 Male. Summer plumage. 2 Male winter. 3 Female Young. Engraved, Printed & Coloured by R. Havell, 1836."

The frame is NOT included in this auction, the shipping would be astronomical.  I have removed it from the frame. It will be shipped in a shipping tube.
