The April 2, 1776 North Carolina issue is unique in the fact that this issue contains 56 different varieties, the highest number of varieties of and American paper money issue. This $1/2 note features an interesting vignette of a crow sipping from a pitcher. The vignettes of this issue were engraved in copper plates by Gabriel Lewyn, a goldsmith from Baltimore. Scarce and sought after note, only 13 known.
