A good Worcester porcelain tea cup with blue scale ground with "mirror and vase" reserves painted in bright enamels with exotic fancy birds and various butterflies and bugs and further bug inside the base. All reserves framed with gilt, silt rim and graduated stripes down the handle. Blue fretted square mark to the base, c.1770.
It measures 8.2cm (3 3/16") rim to rim, 4.8cm (1 7/8") high and 10.2cm (4") rim to handle.
In very good condition, a short tight hairline to the rim only visible on the inside (please see the final photographs) but no other damage, repair or restoration. The gilt on the rim is rubbed but minimal surface wear otherwise.
