The C47 Skytrain (Dakota) saw years of frontline service throughout WWII and Vietnam, proving itself a valuable asset for transporting cargo, troops, and even providing air cover. The specific aircraft featured here is the famous “That’s All Brother”, which led the formation of 800 fellow C47s carrying 13,000 paratroopers into Normandy on D-Day (June 6, 1944). I designed this to pay tribute to the stout aircraft, and the brave soldiers she carried into battle. Airborne all the way!
