Significant paper loss along the panels, flaps, and the spine. Slight black discoloration to the paper. Held together by tape on the reverse. The flaps are clipped but the original price of $10.00 is still visible on the front flap. It is unusual to find a copy with its original dust jacket. The book is in very good plus condition. The boards are unmarked and retain their rich green color. The lettering on the spine is well-preserved. Slight staining on the spine but nothing significant. Very little shelf wear to the spine and little to no bumping or scuffing of the corners. Slight offsetting to the pastedowns and endpapers. Markings in pencil on the front pastedown. Slight staining on the bottom edge, and slight foxing to the fore-and-top edges. The text block is bright, clean, and complete, with the illustrations beautifully preserved.
