 DESCRIPTION:
Offered is this simply incredible, monumental and very large at 24 1/2" in diameter, mid-20th century, Brutalist, American vintage Modernist welded and torched brass metal hanging wall sculpture by American metal sculptor Marc Weinstein, of an abstract, two-tier sunburst, with emanating rays of sunlight. Absolutely, 100% untouched and in completely original vintage condition. Estate fresh and new to the marketplace, this incredible, monumental Brutalist welded and torched brass metal hanging wall sculpture was found in the Worcester, Massachusetts area in a mid-century estate in central Massachusetts. A simply superb, top shelf, original and authentic Modernist artifact. It features a two-tier, bi-level design that employs manufacturing brass discarded stamped, cut-out remnants that have repeating form. The brass pieces were welded together with brass solder and then the entire form was intentionally torched with selective placement of the scorched areas, creating a complex, mottled, variegated color finish. The abstract sculpture isn't deformed or damaged. Marc Weinstein's Brutalist metal hanging wall sculptures were distributed nationally and world-wide by fellow American metal sculptors Curtis and Jere of Curtis-Jere fame. A wonderful Brutalist metal hanging wall sculpture. It's big, bad and beautiful. This bad boy's looking for a place to go. What's on your walls looking back at you?
