Corgi Aviation Archive Guadalcanal Corsair & Mitsubishi Zero AA99120 1/72

This listing is for a set of 1/72nd scale diecast model aeroplanes by Corgi Aviation Archive. The set has been carefully stored since it was purchased, and has never been displayed. All listing photographs were taken indoors without removing any of the contents from their box.

Models are of two iconic aeroplanes which were involved in the conflict in the Pacific during World War II. The set depicts a Vought F4U-1 Corsair, a single seat carrier-capable fighter aircraft used by the US Navy. The model is blue / grey in colour, representing an aircraft from VFM-213 as flown by 1st Lt Foy R. Garison, Guadalcanal in 1943. The set also depicts a Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero, a single seat carrier-capable fighter aircraft used by the Japanese Navy. The model is very pale cream in colour, representing an aircraft from Zuikaku Fighter Squadron as flown by CPO Saburo Saito in 1943.

This set has its own cast resin diorama base ( representing a part of an island in a smaller scale to give the illusion of height ) into which are located two metal stands, and the models can be posed in flight with a raised undercarriage, or displayed with a lowered undercarriage - parts are available for both options. The model is a Limited Edition, being No 2254 out of 5000. The Limited Edition Certificate, metal stands etc are still in their original sealed bags.

The model itself is in an excellent unused and un-displayed condition. I have therefore listed the item as new. The cardboard box has age-related signs of wear from storage.

Model will be wrapped in bubblewrap and cardboard box for posting.
