Mint Condition Dark Carnival Glass Kookaburra Bullet Bowl
Crown Crystal Depression Era 1920/30
s

This is a lovely Dark Carnival Glass Kookaburra Bullet Bowl.  It features a large Kookaburra in the middle of the bowl with 5 Waratah flowers around the Kookaburra.  There is a bullet pattern running around the rim of the bowl. The bowl throws out all the colours.

The back of the bowl is mainly silver and gold in colour with a chain pattern running around the bowl.  The chain pattern on the back of the bowl is the rare variant making this bowl very rare.  The foot of the bowl is plain dark glass.

This Kookaburra Bullet Bowl is in Mint Condition with no scuff marks, flakes, chips, cracks or any signs of wear.  This bowl has not been used and has only been displayed for years, hence its mint condition.  It would be good for a collector who likes pristine carnival glass.  The back of the bowl is also in mint condition, with no damage or wear on the back of the bowl or the foot.

The bowl is 10.5 inches or 26.5cm in diameter and it is 2.5 inches or 6.5cm tall.  The foot is 5 inches or 12.5cm in diameter.

These carnival glass bowls were made by Crown Crystal in Sydney, Australia during the Depression Era in the 1920's and 1930's.  It is also known as poor mans glass.

This bowl is getting towards 100 years old so it is not brand new, but it is in excellent condition for it's age and looks like it is new.  It is almost an antique.

It's hard to take photos that do the colour of these carnival glass bowls justice.  I have included several photos to try to show the colour, beautiful lustre and condition of the Kookaburra Bullet Bowl, but the camera doesn't do justice for its beauty.

There are a few photos with a black stand but these are only as an example of what it would look like on a stand.  The black stand is not included in the sale.

I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly.  I will double box this lovely Kookaburra Bullet Bowl to protect it, and make sure you get it in the same beautiful condition it is in now.  I always send by registered mail with a tracking number for your peace of mind.
