Beautiful, tall and very chunky ice glass sculpture by Bengt Edenfalk for Skruf. This Swedish sculpture not only has scale and weight but it's dynamic from many different view points. Karl Bengt Eugén Edenfalk, born December 19, 1924 in Karlskrona, is a Swedish glass designer, painter, graphic artist and sculptor. In 1945 he studied with Edward Hald at Orrefors Glassworks. Then at the National College of Art in Stockholm 1947-1952. He was the first artistic designer for Skruf Glassworks from 1952-1978. There, he developed the famous Thalatta technique which is similar to the Ariel technique but more difficult to master because the design is applied while the glass is hot. He also designed more than 70 different tableware and glass sculptures. He later worked at Kosta Boda 1978-1989, the Strömbergshyttan 1990-1995 and at Wilke Adolfsson's glass studio in Orrefors.
