Limited stock, hurry to avoid disappointment!

Difference between GTi & GTe versions: The presence of encoders in GTi which can remember the movement of the mount when it is moved manually AFTER alignment. It can go back to GOTO mode without losing its original orientation. This function has to be activated after login to Synscan Pro app. However some users reported that the encoders might compromise GOTO accuracy. This is also understandable as the tripod might shift a little if too much force is used.

If you wish to do let the mount do everything without manual intervention, the GTe version is good enough. The GTi version is also available at this store. Both can also be used in EQ mode even though the GTe has no balancing ability on the RA axis due to lack of a clutch. This may not be critical since equipment weight is usually less than 5kg. You can also do balancing on a standard GEM and mark the correct centre of gravity of your setup before transferring to the GTe mount.

This Version: Upgraded AZ/EQ Mode (right arm orientation - your telescope is on the right side of the mount when facing North) in which user can select either AZ or EQ mode from the free SynScan Pro App for both Apple or Android platforms. No other items are provided for this deal.

Together the mount and App provide full computerised GO-TO.

The mount is quiet in operation, has a payload capacity of up to 5kg and accepts telescopes via a regular 45mm dovetail bar.

Beginners should proceed with AZ mode only and may start with North Level Alignment for easy alignment of the mount.

For EQ mode, extra accessories are required, such as shaft with counter weight, equatorial wedge, McGill Kit for AZ-GTi, etc., which are also available from this seller.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING SYNSCAN APP

Recently we have many customers who are using Android phones who reported that after they updated the Android OS to version 12 (Android 12), they  encountered compatibility issue with Sky-Watcher Apps including SynScan, SynScan Pro, and Star Adventurer Mini Console Apps on Google Play.

Sky-Watcher has since developed a new version of the apps, which are compatible with Android 12 and published it on Skywatcher.com and Aptoide.com.

Due to technical reasons, Sky-Watcher is temporarily unable to publish these new versions of the Apps on Google Play. It is expected to be completed within 2022. At this moment Sky-Watcher would like to introduce an alternative Android app store, Aptoide.com, so that you may visit the website to download the latest Sky-Watcher Apps.

This alternative Android app store allows uploading of newer versions of Sky-Watcher’s apps which are 32-bit developed apps for Android devices. This store also understands that an existing app from Sky-Watcher is available on Google Play.
