I've taken nutritional courses in college, researched the subject
extensively, and have a library full of nutrition books. One day, as I was
seeking to find the scientific backing to the claim of eating more often made
in my classes and books, I could find none. Instead, I found that all of the actual
science pointed to the opposite. Fasting has proven to be the most beneficial
method of dieting, and anyone who disagrees is only following an unfounded
belief system without questioning it.
I first read an article by the author, "The Intermittent
Fasting Dilemma," which seemed to explain a lot of the areas I had been confused
on, and so decided to check out his book. This book is beyond thorough, and all
of the information found within coincides with actual science. I have been using
the methods described while also training as an MMA fighter every day (built my
own gym at home so I never have an excuse not to work out), and I have found
that I now have even more energy than before.
Anyone who wants a pro example of this diet working
for someone, look into the MMA fighter Ronda Rousey, the current Strikeforce title
holder and former Olympian. If you think fasting takes away someone's energy,
then you simply do not have the first clue as to what it takes to win in MMA.
