As found, this is made out of bamboo. There is splitting on a few rungs or legs. I believe the seat is made of pressed fiber because of the dimpling and not solid wood, (or an overlay on top of a thin piece of wood) which would date this to the mid-late 1800s-early 1900s if that. The black paint is chipping away in places and there appears to be gold paint accents on the bamboo knuckles or growth nodes and the round ball accents. The 2, lower, front ball accents look to have some burgundy paint on them. It is sturdy and stable. It measures approximately 32” tall, 16” long and 17” wide. See photos for details. Please message with any questions. Thank you!
