Custom Hand Forged Damascus Skinner Knife with Beautiful Handle & Sheath

This large skinning knife, or skinner knife, is a type of hunting knife that has a rounded point as to not damage the skin as it is being removed. The hunting knife is a knife used during hunting for preparing the game to be used as food.  These activities involve skinning the animal and cutting up the meat. Hunting knives are traditionally designed for cutting rather than stabbing, and usually have a single sharpened edge.

This knife is made from Pattern welded Damascus steel.  Pattern welded Damascus steel is a hard heat treated, folded carbon steel.  There are 11 pieces of steel, folded five times, making 352 layers. The steel is the perfect combination of hardness and durability with a Rockwell hardness rating between 55 and 56 HRC.  High carbon damascus steel must contain layers of high carbon steel.
