Vintage Lyceum watch with center sweep seconds and numbered gray/white seconds track from a local estate.  Watch has been cleaned up the outside and a new leather band installed. I was unable to remove the back and didn't watch to damage the clean case.  Watch is as seen and running.  After cleaning it a bit, I wound it and have worn it a couple days. It appears to keep near perfect time at present =/- 1 minute over 24+ hours of run time on and off the wrist.  It is small by today's standards for men's watches but is average for the time period and wears very well. I personally prefer a smaller watch. Dial is weathered (tropical) in appearance as seen, but in my opinion it's character and appealing.

Lyceum was a brand sold by L&C Mayers, Fifth Ave, NYC and was considered an upscale quality watch in the day and contained a Swiss produced movement . Lyceum's motto was

"A Timepiece of National Reputation".

I know the disappointment of purchasing a watch off eBay with vague mechanical description (it ticks) and fuzzy photos, and it is not what I expected. This makes me overly critical of watches I pass on to others. If a watch has flaws under 10X magnification, I call them out or clearly show them in photos. Running condition is always based on at least 24 hrs of run time. If after 24 or 48 hrs run time; if the watch needs to be adjusted, it's called out.

This is a used vintage time piece that I do not know the service history of. I do not imply nor guarantee long term accuracy or continued operation. Watch is sold as-is under the assumption it needs to be serviced.  It has spent a very long time hiding in a dresser drawer. A professional evaluation and clean, oil, adjust (COA) service is recommended for daily wear and peak performance. Watch is sold as-is and as described.
