A vintage carved jade pendant in a beautiful even soft green
Slightly trapezoidal , the jade is 1.6 inch long.
It has been electronically tested. The modern  testing machines are much better at differentiating between jade and nephrite than the human eye.
The surmount is  in a three lobed gold shamrock design , set with three stunning diamonds. The largest is 3.5mm and the other two just over 3mm. Exceptionally clear  & white. Again electronically tested. Amounting  to about 1/3 ct but actually looking  more as they are not deep, so a greater proportion of the diamond is on show.
The gold is a superb colour and tests as 23 ct. Not surprisingly the surmount is quite heavy for its size.
Altogether a very nicely finished piece. No marks, probably Chinese. Estimating around 1970 - 80, based on style and construction.
