Etruscan & Byzantine style jewellery encompasses a range of jewellery where the stones take centre stage , mounted in prominent bezel settings and the gold is adorned with textured work , rope work and sometimes beadwork.

This is a large ring with a textured shield like front. Centre stage is a deep red oval ruby 5mm by 3.5 mm in a gold bezel setting , rimmed with gold leaves. The ruby is flanked on either side by two diamonds also in  bezel settings but with additional gold prongs . These are round 2 mm in diameter and again rimmed by gold leaves. A raised textured rim surround completes a finished, ornate and opulent look. 

The face is 19mm by 19mm at its furthest parts.

The style makes it a very comfortable and easy ring to wear.
