ABOUT THE ARTIST Édouard FRAISSE (1880-1945). French medallist, born in Beaune. Studied under Barrias, Coutan, Chaplain and Vernon. Médaille d'or in 1937. Fraisse worked freelance and from 1922 went into partnership with Henri Demey, their company issued large quantities of "sport" medals.
