A butter dish with lid of model Berså designed by Stig Lindberg at Gustavsberg, it is 16,5 x 11 cm (6,6" x 4,4") in diameter and 7 cm (2,8") high. It is in mint condition.

Stig Lindberg designed Berså in 1961 as a tribute to the Swedish early summers many lovely green leafs. Berså in Swedish means Arbor. The model of the porcelain is Bohus which shapes you can see with many different patterns where Berså is one of them. It has become on of the most well know tableware ever produced in Sweden. It can almost be described as a national icon for Sweden. Gustavsberg started to produce Berså again in 2005 but this one is the original one from the midcentury.
