This is a guaranteed genuine cloth-bound edition of Page's Red Rock: a Chronicle of Reconstruction. Page was a Virginia lawyer and writer, as well as a diplomat, serving as Ambassador to Italy from 1913 through 1919. He was eight when the Civil War began, and attended Washington College when Robert E. Lee was its president. He popularized the literary genre of "Literature of the Lost Cause." This copy of his book has gotten wet and is pretty heavily water stained, though still readable. The book measures about 7.75 X 5.25 X 1.5 inches. See condition report and photos.
