Here is a collection of Italian Giallo masterpieces on PAL VHS, A bulk of this collection is from the REDEMPTION & SALVATION collections which were released in the 90s, There are also some Italian Imports.

The majority of the tapes look like they have been watched once, The tapes are flush & even, No bumpy uneven tape from constant rewinding back & forth on different machines. Super minty & everything, boxes. sleeves, crisp.

Spot checked on a Nicam PAL VHS machine No issues with playback, No snapped or chewed up tapes.

I would say before playing any tape, Make sure your playback machine has clean heads from a dab of iso & the tape is aligned by fast forwarding to the end & then rewinding back to the start which will match up your machines spool height with the head, The tension of the tape is then also sorted out ready to enjoy the show. You don't want to be chewing up the tape or damaging it with a poorly setup machine & a slack tape wipe out half way in.

It's a great collection of obscure but great movies, The soundtracks are amazing also, Many of the vinyl versions of these soundtracks are £200/£300+, They sound very good from the videotape, Some of the soundtracks are unavailable on any format apart from on the actual movies. Lots of great Ennio Morricone stuff. The amazing 'Spaghetti Westerns' like Once Upon A Time In The West, Fistful Of Dollars & The Good The Bad & The Ugly are all Italian movies dubbed into english, Many people involved in these Giallo also worked on them too.

You can see Quentin Tarantino has taken a lot of 'inspiration' from these Giallo thrillers when you watch them, Like the spaghetti western source he got so much from only more out there. Great source material to reference if you are making movies, lots of inspiring stuff but a lot of it used up already LOL.

Some of these are dubbed into english & some are subtitled there's no linear formula with the English language released versions.

We searched around online for availablity & completed items sold, We couldn't see many, Any titles we did find only 1 or 2 copies were for sale globally & asking £20/£30 on average per cassette then £20-£30 on postage. It's a good oportunity to stock up on Giallo movies especially if you trade in this marketplace, An Italian bookseller had one of the titles for £60, That gives an indication of the scarcity of these things, Especially outside of Italy.

Didn't even look at DVD's but my guess these are so esoteric they're scarse in any format.
