1840 rare 1st Edition Jeremiah Greenleaf antique map of United States of Mexico, showing the Republic of Texas as well.

Description:

A beautiful and vibrantly pastel colored map from the rare 1840 1st edition Greenleaf New Universal Atlas, printed by G. R. French in Brattleboro Vermont.  This map shows the United States of Mexico, with the territory depicted encompassing much of the South West United States.   The Republic of Texas is also shown as a separate entity on this map & the territory of New Mexico is also depicted.  This tremendous and historically significant map would look incredible framed!

Condition: 

Overall, very good+ condition.  Just some minor toning, a few tiny margin holes at the edge on one side where the map was bound into the atlas with fine string & minor staining (exactly as pictured!).
