vintage Japan ceramic baby deer bookend, hand-painted spotted fawn book end

Sweet little hand-painted ceramic book end with baby deer, about 6" tall overall. This is made in Japan, mid-century vintage.

It is very light in weight, not made to hold heavy books. It would be just the thing for a nursery, or as part of a

'deer' collection.

There's a flea bite near the corner of the base.
