For sale today is the classic, rare, and out-of-print (oop) Father Tree Press oversized trade paperback (tpb)/graphic novel The Elfquest Gatherum (Volume Two) by Richard and Wendy Pini, published in 1988. It is the first printing edition.

I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This copy is in good overall condition considering its age, with a solid spine and great overall inside pages with minimal signs of natural yellowing over time (photo#11 example). It does have two large creases on the back cover, but otherwise mostly lighter signs of wear, all of which primarily affect its externals

**Photo#3:
-Spine edge: Some patches of light color breaking spread along the spine edges, and near the edge on each cover.

**Photo#4:
-Upper spine corner: Light scuffing. Small peel at corner on back cover.

**Photo#5:
-Lower spine corner: ~1" light indent around corner on front cover. Small scuff/peel on edge where it meets back cover, with a light ~1/2" indent around it on the back cover.

**Photo#6:
-Front cover top edge: ~2.5" section of light cover peeling near spine corner, small scuff towards outer corner, otherwise light if any shelf-wear.
-Outer corner: Light ~1/2" scuff/bend, goes thru  ~1/2 pages as a light bend.

**Photo#7:
-Front cover bottom edge: 2 small scuffs towards the spine corner, otherwise light shelf-scuffing if any.
-Outer corner: Very light ~1.5" depression around corner. Tiny indent/scuff/bend ate extreme corner, goes thru ~1/5 pages as a small indent/bend.

**Photo#8:
-Back cover top edge: Light scuffing along it. ~3" of light curling near spine corner, small scuff/peel towards outer corner, shows as a light scuff on ~2 pages.
-Outer corner: Vertical ~1/2" indent/scuff/bend, goes thru ~5 pages as a light indent, and thru ~1/2 as a light bend.

**Photo#9 (w/illumination):
-Back cover bottom edge: A few small scuffs from its middle towards the spine corner, otherwise light shelf-scuffing along it. Two small/light ~1/2" vertical indents starting adjacent the edge near the spine corner, and ~2.5", ~1.5" and ~1/2" adjacent creases starting near its middle.
-Outer corner: ~3/4" indent/depression around corner, shows on ~4 pages as a light indent. Small ding/crease/scuff/bend at extreme corner, goes thru most pages as a light indent/bend.

**Additionally: Back cover possesses the book's main flaw - two mostly vertical creases spanning the book's height near its middle (photo#2, one on the right is more prominent, shows on ~3 pages - example in photo#12). A few more very light vertical depressions towards spine edge. Light vertical indent near/along the spine edge. The front cover has a ~1" crease around its page edge, towards the top outer corner (photo#10 w/illumination), shows as a small/light indent on ~5 pages. A few small scuffs lower down the page edge. Cover itself possesses a ~1" vertical indent/depression near its center that shows lightly on ~2 pages. Two light ~1/2" indents/depressions near page edge's middle, two more near bottom edge, and one ~1" one near upper spine corner. Book has a light vertical curl/bend near its page edge.

I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots. If you have any questions or would like any additional photos, feel free to let me know. I'm always happy to combine shipping costs - either message me before completing purchase for a pre-payment price adjustment, or alternatively I can provide a refund afterwards. Thanks, and have an incredible day!
