Signed by author at bottom of last page of Preface. Hand-numbered "566" on copyright page. Penciled price to top corner of title page; "124" written in pen at top of copyright page. Underlining to p. 92. Soiling to bottom corners of first 2 pages & sporadically throughout to page margins. Mild rubbing to edges of page block. Plastic comb binding has a stress mark to middle, but is not cracked; all teeth are present. Wear & scraping to covers along binding, with small tears at ends of front & rear covers; scraping to front cover around edges & along binding; mild wear along edges of covers with a few small edge tears; minor staining to bottom edge of front cover & spotting to rear cover.

Showing some wear & tear, but still a solid & desirable signed copy of this classic guide to building longrifles. The book is still in print, but copies of the first printing are scarce.
