OSCAR BOOKCASE/LECTERN
The Oscar Lectern is a tribute to the famous phrase in Warhol’s catalogue for an exhibition at the Moderna Museet, in Stockholm, from February to March 1968: "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes".
The cabinet is part of the line of Amira di Transilvania iconic products combining design and scenography with the principles of environmental responsibility and a great attention to the problem of recycling.
The Oscar Lectern offers a new life, aesthetically original and artistically valuable, to materials that would increase pollution such as wooden fruit boxes.
Thus the useless and harmful "garbage" destined to permanently disfigure the environment is transformed into its opposite, eternalizing it in an art object embodying the Beautiful.
The Oscar Lectern is a multifunctional cabinet that can serve as a shelf, bookcase, storage, CD/ DVD, a bedside but, if necessary, with a wink, turns into an orginal piece of design giving the home a playful and, at the same time, refined tone.
