Yosegi Zaiku is a traditional wood craft in the Hakone area and is classified as Culturally Significant by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

With this abundance of different woods, Yosegi Zaiku is made in the Hakone region. The highly complex patterns  are made from many different colored woods and then further processed into small boxes and other handicrafts. These techniques are so unique that they can only be found in this area.

This traditional handicraft has been practiced in and around Odawara since the Edo period. These techniques are so unique that they can only be found in the Odawara area.

In 1635, our shop was established in front of the Hakone checkpoint. Since then we have been selling Yosegi Zaiku and other handicrafts in Hakone and Odawara to our customers. We are opening our website on the Internet and will be selling traditional handicrafts there.  It would be nice to do business with them.
