In 'Children of the Corn 4 - The Gathering' (1998), a young medical student stumbles upon a malevolent force that is threatening to take the souls of a midwestern town's children. It is up to the junior doctor to save the town's kids before they are turned into merciless killing machines. In 'Children of the Corn 5 - Fields of Terror' (1999), six students get lost in a deserted rural town and discover a murderous cult of children controlled by evil forces. With dead bodies appearing all around them, the students decide to stay and rescue the children. In 'Children of the Corn 666 - Isaac's Return' (2000), when Hannah goes in search of her real mother she picks up a stranger and starts a mysterious chain of events. Hannah's trip may also help fulfil a prophecy made 19 years ago by Isaac, the original leader of the Children of the Corn. Finally, in 'Children of the Corn 7 - Revelation' (2001), when FBI agents come to the small town of Omaha in Nebraska to track down a serial killer they come across a mysterious and evil higher power that emerges from the ever-present cornrows.
