It is with great joy in Christ that I write this introduction. Having the honor of
Knowing this precious family is more than words can express. Having been their
pastor for about one and a half years; we have grown very close, and have had
much Christian fellowship.
I have watched as the hand of the Lord has placed each member of the family
into the position in which they are now faithfully serving God.
You would have to meet Kyle and Bertie, and the children Wayne (16),
Rhonda (14), and Shayne (5) before you could ever know what I am trying to say.
They have a wonderful talent, but this is not the secret of their success. The secret
is the Spirit of God upon them as they lend themselves to Christ, and stand in His
Strength. God has used them to bless Greenvale Baptist Church many,many times.
This album was made during a very difficult time in this family’s life, during
which they lost a precious mother, Mrs. Audrey Shoemaker, who was laid to rest,
May 5, 1973. But through it all they have claimed the promise of Phil. 4:13;
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthened! me.”
The Shoemaker family is assisted by Wayne Winegar playing the rhythm
guitar, and his wife Dauphine on the piano. Also on the base guitar is Tim Adkins.
They are all very active in our church and I am proud to be their pastor.
Therefore, I would like to say in behalf of this fine group; I hope the songs
will bless you and your home as they have blessed us in our church. May God’s
love be real in your lives and His grace keep you until that day when our feet
shall stand upon the HOLY HILLS OF HEAVEN.
