Description of item for sale:

This massive solid oak Gothic panel is from France and dates to the mid/late 1800's.  We don't know its original use.  It originally had stained glass panels in the openings-some still remain.  It is 3" thick and weighs about 200 lbs.  We can see it was painted but almost no paint remains.  Construction is all with pegged joints.  It's in very good antique condition with minor chips and scratches consistent with its age, a few old, inactive woodworm holes and no dry rot.  Dimensions: lengths of the 3 available vary: one is 105", one 93" and one 91".  All three are 55" high and 3" thick.   (1228)
