This is an exquisite antique Dutch needlework sampler, showing very colorful flowers, fruit and birds.

It is stitched on linen cloth with multi-colored silk thread.

The sampler is dated 1803.

It measures approximately 22 x 18 1/2 inches or 56 x 47 cm.

The sampler is in good condition, considering its age. The colors are still very vibrant.

The sampler was folded for a certain period of time (quite a while ago, as I removed it from a frame) and the cloth is somewhat dirty, especially near the folds.

The cloth is a tiny bit worn in two places, please see photos no. 9 and 10.
