Ceramic Picture Tile, by Famed Artist Beryl Cook OBE (1926-2008), Beryl Who is Known for Her “Quirky Artwork” With an Original Way of Painting & instantly Recognisable Artwork, Often Comical if not a Little Riske, Her Art Was Taken from People Whom she Encountered in Everyday Life, Including People Enjoying Themselves in Pubs, Ladies on a Night Out, Shopping, Hen Nights, Drag Queens When She Went to Their Shows or a Family Picnicking by the Seaside or Even Abroad. 

Beryl Had no Formal Training and it Wasn’t Until Her 30’s She Took up Painting.  Shy and a Very Private Person, But Her Artwork Often Depicted Flamboyant & Extrovert Characters so Different to Herself.  A Film was Made by LWT’s “The South Bank Show” Where Melvin Brag Discussed her Life, She Truly led Such a Fascinating Life & Appeared in a Many of a TV Show She also Illustrated Books, Where She Received Best Selling Artist Award

Since Her Death in 2008 Beryl’s Son John & Granddaughter Sophie Have Run The “Official Beryl Cook Website” Which Shows a Look inside Beryl’s Life Growing Up Right up To her Death, Which Truly Was A Fascinating Life
