Oldsmobile Automobile CORPORATION Lucite Trophy Award

This superb condition OLDSMOBILE - corporate lucite and walnut, executive / dealer sculpture / trophy / award -  probably once adorned one of the executives' or dealers' desks. It may have been displayed on a shelf or showcase. 

The Oldsmobile division of GM / General Motors was phased out in 2004. 

This stunning 7”x 3 x 3” triangular lucite and solid walnut trophy is like new.  The front page of the embedded booklet has printed in bold the following, “VISION OF OLDSMOBILE" with the Old's logo in bold crimson.

Printed on an 4 1/2” x 2 3/4” heavy paper stock, this 4 sided / folded booklet is embedded in a triangular / prism shaped Lucite block . 

The booklet has no fading or toning.   The booklet states the following:

1. MISSION 

2. IMAGE THEME & BRAND CHARACTER: THE POWER OF INTELLIGENT ENGINEERING: SMART CONTEMPORARY VEHICLES 

3. BELIEFS AND VALUES

4. STAKEHOLDERS 

The front of the booklet bears a large printed Oldsmobile crimson stylized rocket logo surrounded by a thin black thin lined rectangular box with rounded corners and may date from the late 1970’s. 

Olds has had over 50 logo variations since it was founded in 1901 and purchased by General Motors in 1908. 

The triangular lucite in which this booklet is embedded has no crazing, sharp corners and is optically clear and no yellowing. 

The triangular solid  walnut wood base is equally as flawless.  

It weighs 1 ½  pounds in total. It is well centered. 

What a superb addition to any Old’s collection, auto buff, trophy, paperweight, embedded collector. 

I have never seen another of this or one in similar excellent condition.
