Gibson Melody Maker Explorer Guitar.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GUITAR IS CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY, I WILL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHIP THE GUITAR. THANK YOU.

Hello,

You are looking at my 2011 Gibson Melody Maker Explorer guitar, it’s in ok condition, but has a few dings, scratches and marks all over the satin black paint. The worst paint loss is mainly on the pointy edges and there are lines in the paint where the body wood is joined a bit of crackled paint where the neck meets the body. The paint is quite thin and has buffed into a sheen on the forearm, neck and high wear areas, due to the thin paint you can see the grain pattern underneath. The strap button at the bottom of the guitar is a bit tarnished and it looks as though someone spilled something on the warranty card!? The pictures form part of the description and can describe things a bit better than I can

The guitar plays great and is very resonant, a maple body and a mahogany neck with the unusual v style headstock, it has a single humbucker which is a Seymour Duncan which was stock from the factory, with a single volume control .The two bridge adjustment screws were missing when I got the guitar so when it was getting set up the guitar shop added two black screws, so it’s now adjustable. The fingerboard is Torriafied (not sure of the spelling) Baked maple, this was at the time Gibson had a lot of wood confiscated from the factory and they were looking at alternative materials, the frets are in great condition.

The guitar is a bit smaller than a proper Gibson Explorer and has the controls and pickup attached to the pickguard to keep production costs down. The guitar comes with its original padded gig bag, the stitching is loose on one of the seams.

I have owned the guitar for a few years, I just don’t play it much so I would like it to go to someone else.

PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, or would like some more pictures.

THANK YOU.
