A good condition two volume hardcover set of 'The Geographical Distribution of Animals' by Alfred Russel Wallace. This is a 1962 reprint by Hafner Publishing Company and includes the original illustrations and maps, including a fold out map in the front of Volume 1. The outside of the books have some scuffing and there is some bump wear to some areas along the edges, a few corners, and to the top and bottom of the spines. There is also a small tear to the cloth at the top of the spine on Volume 2. There are some spots of dirt and staining to the text block/page edges, as well as a previous owners name written at the top in pen, but overall they are mostly clean. Inside the previous owners name is also written in pen on the front pasted down end paper in both volumes, but there is no other writings or markings to any of the other pages in either volume. There are no folds to any of the pages in either volume, but there is some minor bending to the corners of some pages in Volume 2 from the bumped corners. There is some splitting/separating between pages 72 and 73 of Volume 1, but the pages are still completely intact and not loose and that is the only instance of any splitting/separating to the binding in either volume. Overall a set that is still very usable and nearly all of the pages inside are still crisp and clean and show little signs of use. Shipped via USPS Media Mail.
