Antique glass desk tidy, pin tray, pen holder
Shaped in a long oblong
suitable for stamps, paper clips, pencils, pens, etc.
Ribbed glass sides and bottom.
It has an 1871 Registered design mark on base - diamond design.
As per close up photo the 111 at top indicates glass, the A to the right indicates 1871 and the day is 29 and the month April indicated by the H i.e. Glass 29th April, 1871. The 9 to the left is a bundle number.
Measures 11-1/4" long, 1-3/4" deep and 1-7/8" high
I'm not sure if it was made as a stand alone piece or as an insert to a silver/EPNS/pewter tray maybe.
In remarkably good condition for its age with no chips.
