Massive MIMO cell sites project radio in narrow beams directed to the users – similar to a spot light.  Multiple beams can be created which will dynamically adjust to user locations & usage.  The end result is an increase in signal and a reduction in interference from other users in the sector – improved throughput to each user in the sector
