Payment Policy
We accept all major credit and debit card payments. We also accept PayPal.
Payments made by credit or debit card may be subject to validation checks by the card issuing authority.
The Orient UK will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery resulting from your card issuer's failure or refusal to authorise your payment.
The Orient UK reserves the right to change the price of any product without prior notice. However, the total amount you will be charged is the price displayed at checkout including delivery and VAT (where applicable).
Important Information for International Orders
Please be aware that your order may be subject to a customs and import charge.
Customs and import charges are additional charges set by the customs office in every country. We do not have any control over these charges.
As a buyer, it is your responsibility to check which customs and import charges may apply to your purchase, and to pay them when you are contacted by the customs office.
We are not liable for any item that is destroyed due to the customs and import charge not being paid by you. In such circumstances, you will not be eligible for a refund.
Shipping Policy
All products sold from The Orient UK set out any specific conditions, relating but not limited to, shipping, delivery dates & times and charges. In general, most of the items purchased from The Orient UK enjoy free delivery within the UK. Shipping costs (if any) will be calculated and displayed at checkout; before you place your order.
The average delivery time will vary according to the shipping destination.
Items purchased from and delivered to destinations within the UK are usually dispatched the same day - if ordered before 1:00 pm (Monday to Friday), and normally reach their destination within 1-2 working days, unless otherwise stated.
Items purchased from and delivered to destinations outside of the UK are usually dispatched the same day - if ordered before 1:00 pm (Monday to Friday), but will take a little longer to reach their destination. Please allow for this when placing your order.
You may select a delivery service of your choice at checkout - subject to availability. However, The Orient UK reserves the right to select the best shipping service that matches the product purchased.
Once the item has been dispatched from our warehouse, we will send you a dispatch notification email.
Returns Policy
Here, at The Orient UK, we want our customers to be completely happy and satisfied with their purchase. However, if you need to return an item, we are here to help.
Terms & Conditions for Returns
For orders delivered within the UK, you have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to return the item.
For international orders, you have 45 calendar days from the date of delivery to return the order.
To be eligible for a return and refund, items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging.
We cannot accept returns for any of the following products:
- Perishable products such as foods
- Books, CDs & DVDs
- Health & personal care items
- Any item not in its original condition, or that is damaged or missing parts
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
- Sale items
We can only accept returns that have been pre-authorised by our returns team. Any orders returned without pre-authorisation will not be refunded.
For return authorisation, please send us a message using the contact option from your order confirmation page. We will endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours.
When contacting us, please state your order number and the reason for the return. We will then advise you on the next steps.
Refunds
Once your return has been received at the warehouse, it will be inspected by our returns team. We will then send you an email notifying you of the approval or rejection of your return.
If your return is approved, your refund will be issued back to the original payment method within 5 working days.
Please note; (unless there is an error on our part), the shipping costs are non-refundable and a restocking fee may apply.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you do not receive your refund within the timescale provided by your card issuer or PayPal, please contact your card issuer or PayPal.
If after speaking to your card issuer or PayPal, the matter is still not resolved, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you.
