MAIN FEATURES:  This beautiful mid length houndstooth swing coat was purchased in the USA by mother in 1979 when I was 8 years old.  I remember the trip like it was yesterday as it was the first time I had been on a plane and to a different country.  The size is a USA 8 which is equivalent to an Australian size 12.  It is 100% wool with a brown satin lining.  It has the original purple label featuring the polo horse in the middle of the name.  The coat is in excellent condition for it's age and is very well made.  The lining is in tact.  There are three faux pockets.  2 on one side and one on the other.  The collar can be laid flat or it can stand up to keep the winter chill out.  Please see the last photos.  The cuffs are approximately 8cm wide.  There are no buttons or zips.  The weight of the coat is quite heavy.  It weighs approximately 1.5kg.  My daughter wore this coat with the above outfit (Prada Boots, Glomesh Handbag and Witchery Skorts are up for sale in separate listings) and she is a size 8 and had no problem with the weight.  Unfortunately Qld doesn't get that cold so it needs to find a new home.  This is a stunning coat which needs to be worn and admired.  I have seen many houndstooth coats but not as elegant as this one.

FLAWS:  There is a light pink mark, possibly foundation behind the right shoulder, please see photo number 10.  The coat will need to be dry cleaned to bring out the creases and to freshen it up before use.

Our items range from Vintage, Retro, Modern and sometimes just unusual.  Our family is fashion forward and we dare to be different.  We offer good quality designer pieces as well as good quality chain store pieces at reasonable prices with cheap or sometimes free postage when possible.   Our description of the item will be detailed with photos to suit.  However, please ask as many questions as you like if you are unsure to avoid disappointment.  Communication means everything.  All our items have been cleaned and well maintained and have been sourced from here, there and everywhere.  All leather handbags and shoes have been treated with leather cleaner and conditioner and have been well kept.  All flaws will be mentioned and photographed.  Please bear in mind Vintage pieces are just that - Vintage.

Pick Up - Cash on pickup would be appreciated from either of the following locations.  Hope Island Marketplace or Helensvale on the northern end of the Gold Coast or Cannon Hill Shopping Centre or Marie Street, Murarrie in Brisbane.

Payment should be made within 3 working days of auction finishing.  If you are bidding on more than one item, please let us know when you have finished so we can provide you with an updated invoice.  If you require more time, please contact us we are quite reasonable and this will avoid any silly reports being made to Ebay.

We do combine postage.  

Some items under 500g can be sent budget post to save you money.  Items that are sent budget post are sent in either normal or pre-paid envelopes but they DO NOT have tracking. If you require piece of mind that your item will get to you, please choose the satchel option with tracking.  

As much as we would like to hand deliver the parcel to you, we can't.  So please do not hold us responsible for people's negligence on loss or terrible delivery.  All items will be packaged appropriately to minimise any rough handling by Auspost and sent to the address you supplied at time of payment.
