An essential reference for students of art and design belonging to a wide range of concentrations, with the work having been created to enable those engaged in the different disciplines to "articulate their perspectives on the field, thereby fostering dialogue and, where possible, constructing common ground without imposing consensus". The entries, contributed by well over 350 highly regarded writers in each field, read more as essays, thoughtful and insightful.
