Lovely antique Victorian-era mourning ring in 14k white gold, circa the late 1800s. The face of the ring is a rectangular black onyx with angled corners set with ornate prongs. The onyx is accented with a single-cut 2mm diameter round diamond prong-set in a quatrefoil design at one corner, and a white gold crescent moon with scimitar and star at the opposing corner. The base of the onyx is surrounded by ornate milgrain and filigree work that travels to the openwork shoulders. The side of the shank is hand-engraved. The band measures 2.2mm and the inside is stamped 14k. The ring is quite beautiful and well-made with wonderful detailing.

Very good condition with wear commensurate with age and use. The back of the band has a very slight bend. Total weight 2.5 grams. Size 2.5
