This piece of Americana has historical value. Upon researching the gentleman whom purchased the land, I learned he was a civil rights activist and an attorney working Pro Bono for low income innocent African Americans who were wrongly accused, wrongly convicted and imprisoned. He dedicated his practice to obtaining pardons for young black Americans, and successfully freed many wrongfully accused young black men. His home is of historical value and currently I believe displays the life and history of Mister Defrance and how he helped his community.
