This listing is for a nice microfossil sample from the Cerro Gorda Shale of Iowa.

Not only can this material contain some of the earliest foraminifera but more importantly it is one of the best Charophyte bearing samples we have ever seen. Palaeozoic charophytes are more uncommon than in later periods, but in every sample of Cerro Gordo material we have looked at we have seen numerous specimens. The images show some of the charophytes that we have picked.

The actual sample is housed in a gel capsule about the size of a vitamin tablet and contains abundant fossils.
