This 1949 Wild West Bowman Gum Card #A-8 At War With Britain is the exact item you will receive and has been certified Authentic by REM Fine Collectibles.

Published in 1949 by Bowman, the Wild West set consists of 180 cards, each measuring 2-1/16” x 2-1/2”. The set was divided into eight subsets. Each piece showcases a colorful, artistically drawn famous scene, activity, or well-known personality from America's great frontier. A thin, white border surrounds card fronts, while the reverse details the subset name (defined by numbers prefixed with a letter between "A" and "H"), the title of the card, and a description of the person or scene depicted on the opposite side. The set is anchored by such historic figures as Daniel Boone (C8), Davy Crockett (C9), Geronimo (C15), Jesse James (F17), Annie Oakley (C10), and Sitting Bull (C16). The set was wildly popular upon release and Bowman adjusted supply for each print run to match the projected demand for the cards – a fact that resulted in the higher-number cards from later issues more difficult to secure than earlier releases.
