Circa 1880/1900s English silver plated metal vesta case. Attractive repousse filigree design, dual cartouche, one cartouche is monogrammed JH. Spring-loaded hinged lid, single chamber to keep matches dry and prevent accidental ignition. Top suspension ring. To the underside is the ribbed match striker. Stamped EPNS to the inside lip, there are no makers mark that I can see.

- In good well used antique condition. The silver plated layer has rubbed through over the years exposing the base alloy. Lid, spring and suspension ring are good.
