It has one of the later type boards I have checked it and touched up any soldered connection I thought needed. I always replace the 739 preamp IC  with the Ma 748   and the associated resistors.  It makes a very big difference at high levels, as DC offset remains low. Also the static offset is much more stable.  Appearance  very good.  The back of the transformer gets scratched from setting down on it's back. I always note that it drives 8 ohm without fans  but you need a fan if you have dual 4 ohm.    I tested them on 2 ohm, and they do that , but will rapidly get hot and go shut off till cool. I have 2  Dc300 II on my own stereo setup. The only thing I, and others have noticed,(with all DC300 series amps) is the slight line hum with efficient speakers. Overall, they still stand out as one of the best sounding  power amps.  If shipping to N.Y.C  There has to be a extra charge- they have no mercy on anything heavy. Thanks for your interest !
