1885. 90cm x45cm

I was lucky enough recently to buy a collection of old and rare Charts, these two are probably the oldest educational chat I’ve ever seen. Dated 1885 this fantastic American chart depicts the human muscular system Drawn & illustrated by Zaggy.

lovely old charts were produced as educational tools for schools and colleges in the 1800s to the 1970s.

They are printed on paper  which is backed with canvas and it has wooden poles top and bottom and a hanging eye.

Not only are these early and where they are in fantastic condition. I have seen these charts sold for $750 each before

These charts have spent its 80+ years in a dark school cupboard so the condition is very good..... there might be a few little signs of age please check all pictures. It has been reinforced along the back of the top with professional cotton backed restoration tape.

I have tried to take photographs of any areas of damage but there is very little.

These beautiful old school charts have been used as educational aids for the last 100 years or so but now they have become very popular with interior designers for their beautiful decorative qualities.

Levi W. Yaggy was a Chicago author and publisher. His other works included a boxed set containing an astronomical chart (see the chart on our site), an ethnographic chart of the peoples of the world, geology maps, and a raised relief map. He also co-wrote books on a variety of topics, from popular guides for living a successful and morally virtuous life to books on ethnic anthropology and life in antiquity.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual light overall toning, handling, edge wear, soft creases. Extracted from a larger set that had other works.
