Look as sweet as a pea, in this authentically 1920's floral dress (that's probably the only one of its kind in the world!)...

This typically 20's dress features a wide, shift like silhouette, with full length sleeve and drop waist. The shoulders and upper hip areas feature hand-sewn smock gathering detail. The main body of this dress is made from a super lightweight, and semi-opaque silk-cotton blend fabric, featuring a very 20's floral print. The neckline is semi-v-shaped, and is adorned by a bone colored silk fabric neck sash tie, plus delicate lace and mesh ruffles. The same bone-colored silk is echoed at sleeve cuffs and skirt hem. The drop waist is accentuated by two rows of pleats, and there his a self-fabric drop waist sash. No lining, or pockets, or maker's mark/labels (most likely hand-made and the only one of its kind). At inner seams I have found a 'SilkCot' name on the fabric selvedges. No opening/closure, so please check measurements, as you will have to shimmy this dress over your head and shoulders to get into it. Overall condition is very good, and still wearable, with some repairs/issues to note; shoulder have worn from being hung on hangers for years (please keep on a padded hanger, to help counter this issue), one repair to left under arm, large Crepeline-backed repair at side waist area (see detail photos) where fabric has frayed, medium-sized Crepeline repair at back skirt where fabric has frayed, a couple small repairs to silk section at skirt hem, and some wear to silk neck tie sashes -please review photographs for full details, or contact me for more. At the end of the photo set (last 2 photos), I've shown the dress on the mannequin with a black liner, in hopes of showing both the opacity of this piece, and the repair results. The two larger repairs have some loose threads from weave on top side, but have been reinforced at backside (with silk Crepeline), so some caution will need to be used when wearing -special care of these repaired areas, specifically. Dress is still very wearable, especially for a special event, production, etc.
