Vintage 1940's? Handmade Quilt; Star Flower Pattern; Cotton Quilt; Light Blue Borders; 82" x 69"; Preowned
My brother is downsizing and we discussed that this was possibly made in the 1930's or 1940's when my Grandfather would cut out the pieces and Grandma sewed them together. I've taken close-up pictures to show the hand quilted stitching.
- The quilt measures 82" x 69"
- Research shows this is the Star Flower pattern
- Borders between the Star Blocks are a light blue tiny floral
- The backing is solid light blue
- I don't see any damage but this is a handmade quilt - probably not perfect hand stitching (see pictures)
Has been washed and lovingly used throughout the years.
I did add a question and answer regarding stains - I added in the notes, showing the top with a very light stain - and 3 more on the underside - all quite light that I needed to check under different lighting to be able to find them.
