For sale is a two sided, four page antique handwritten ledger page from 1865-66. This manuscript account book has many period Civil War entries from 1861-1866. I believe this to be from Pennsylvania but there’s no indication exactly where this is from.

The page measures 11 7/8” x 7 1/4” high. This was bound in a ledger that created 4 pages that measured 5 15/16” x 7 1/4” each when bound. You are seeing 2 pages in one photo and the reverse of the paper with the other 2 pages. Any confusion please ask before buying. See photos and above measurements to understand exactly what you're getting.

These entries were written by a blacksmith and provide a fascinating glimpse into the daily business of a 19th century tradesman. Many of these pages list metal work done and their prices which was often for repairs to all types of metal items and horse shoeing. Many names of customers are listed with the names sometimes repeating throughout the accounts ledger. The pages are in good condition for its age and are sure to be a valuable addition to any collection of historical ephemera about daily life.

Please look over the two photographs which were scanned at a very high resolution to see detail. You are getting the exact two sided, four page ledger item you see in these photographs.

Perfect to frame, scan; use in art, scrapbooks.
