Description of item for sale:

This 18th century (1700's) antique panel is from France and it dates to 1742.  The date you see in the photos is from another part of the structure this panel came from and not on the panel itself.  It is made from solid oak.  It's painted a putty color with hand gilded highlights and the paint appears to be original.  The edges and back are unfinished.  It is in very good antique condition with only minor nicks and scratches consistent with its age.  It shows no woodworm or dry rot.  Dimensions: 21-1/2" tall, 16-1/4" wide and 1" thick.  (1258)
